What to Do if You Have an Accident

Stay safe, document the accident, and report it within 24 hours to resolve claims quickly and efficiently.

The key things to remember are:

  • Stay safe – make sure that you and your passengers are safe
  • Report it – let us know what has happened as soon as possible and always within 24 hours of the incident occurring

By reporting any incident immediately, you make it much easier to resolve a claim quickly. This includes dealing with third parties, arranging any repairs and getting you and your car back on the road. Delays to reporting can make it harder for the insurer to investigate the claim and may lead to increased costs and slower repairs.

  • Ensure you and your passengers are safe. If someone is injured or the road is blocked, call 999
  • Document the accident with pictures and get any 3rd party details (reg, full name, insurer etc)
  • Submit an incident report
  • Email the Moove support team on uksupport@moove.io or call 0203 769 4354, with the incident details and we will tell you what to do next

  • If you can, move the vehicle off the road.
  • Call the AA immediately on 03330 046 046 or contact them via theaa.com
